I was delighted today to find that the 15th century Qur’an which I saw at a recent St Andrews Institute of Mediaeval Studies seminar has been featured on the university library’s blog! Apart from being a stunning example of the manuscript arts, the text has also had an interesting history all it’s own, so check it out!

Absolutely! I particularly liked the stipples of gold on the pages that make it shimmer, but it’s a little hard to see in the photo. It’s certainly not a mass-market paperback.
